Gary Obermiller

Gary is a co-founder of Mill City Capital. He co-led investments in MBI Energy Services and Union Tractor. Since 2014, Gary has been working exclusively with Mill City Capital as an operating executive.
In 2004, Gary was recruited to GHJ&M as a Managing Director. Gary led or co-led the investments in Remmele Engineering and Mid Valley Industries. Prior to 2004, Gary was with Deltak for 14 years and served in several senior management roles, including President, President and COO, and Director of Global Power Equipment Group, Deltak’s eventual parent company. Additional experience includes managerial positions in operations, sales, marketing and engineering with Graco, Inc. and Econo-Therm Energy Systems Corporation both domestic and internationally.
Gary is a board director for ABP Induction and Acme Industries, chairman of the board for SkyWater Technology, and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Minnesota’s College of Science and Engineering, and a member of the University or St. Thomas Board of Governors for the School of Engineering. Gary holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer.
